Daniel Danahey, M.D.
Dr. Danahey’s thoughtful and thorough approach to patient care focuses on creating an open dialogue with each patient, answering questions and informing patients of their options. Whether a patient is seeking to improve his or her appearance, or requires healing of a serious medical condition, Dr. Danahey feels having a well-informed patient/physician partnership is of the utmost importance. His undergraduate studies were at St. John’s University in Minnesota. He then earned an MD-PHD at The Ohio State University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his residency at The Ohio State University in Otolaryngology, and subsequently completed a focused fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Danahey has taught as a professor at several well-known universities, including Northwestern University Medical School. While teaching at Northwestern University, he served as Director of Facial Plastic Surgery and trained residents in Facial Plastic Surgery techniques. He currently is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. For many years Dr. Danahey has volunteered his time and expertise to overseas missions, performing cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries as well as craniofacial surgery. He is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital, Edward Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital.

Dr. Dan Danahey is board certified in two inter-related specialties; Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. His surgical expertise includes upper and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty); cosmetic and functional nasal surgery (rhinoplasty/septorhinoplasty); and aging face surgery (facelift). He also brings comprehensive experience with skin cancer reconstructive surgery (Mohs) to DuPage Medical Group. His non-surgical expertise encompasses the use of BOTOX® Cosmetic, JUVEDERM® Injectable Gel, Sculptra®, and Radiesse®, to rejuvenate the aging face. Because of Dr. Danahey’s dual specialty proficiency, he provides medical and surgical treatment for disorders of the ears, nose, and throat in addition to his aesthetic services.
